New Grass
What is the best way to cut new grass?
Ensure that the blade(s) on your lawn mower are sharp. Cut the grass quite high, compared to your established lawn. About 20 to 30 cm higher than established lawn would be good. Ensure you cut less that one third of the height each time. Cut it often to start with. Little and often is best.
Keep it well watered. Water early morning or in the evening to reduce loss of water through evaporation.
Once it is well established, gradually reduce the cutting height to where you want it to be.
