Ecolawnmowing.co.nz is a group of trained lawn mowing professionals who use only battery powered electric equipment to ensure the least impact on the environment as possible. Started by Cliff Gott, a former Master Franchisee for a major home services franchise system, ecolawnmowing.co.nz puts quality of service and the planet ahead of all other business goals.
Cliff, an experienced lawn mowing contractor and trainer of lawn mowing professionals, ensures that they put quality first. Having used electric equipment for more than a year now he has proven it to be reliable and efficient. His electric tipping trailer is equipped with a solar panel, battery and inverter so that he can charge the batteries from the sun as he goes.
Other lawn mowing professionals in the group are committed to using only electric equipment.
As time goes on, all members of the group will change to hybrid or fully electric vehicles when models which can tow become available at a reasonable price level.
In spring it is the time to begin regular mowing of your lawn. Little and often is best to keep your lawns healthy.
Lawns begin to be actively growing again after the cooler winter months.
Fertilising
All lawns need fertiliser to maintain healthy growth. Like vegetable patches and hedges where nutrients are removed through harvesting or trimming, lawns are regularly mowed and clippings removed* from the lawn, along with the nutrients they contain. These need to be replaced. Read more
